The Easter Bunny Was Kind!

It has been a busy week - travelling home from visiting relatives at easter and then starting a new job and all the associated busyness that comes with that transition. I haven't got through a lot of reading - just some snippets before collapsing into bed at the end of the day. I did however add some new books to the TBR pile courtesy of my dad.

My father is a journalist and receives a lot of review copies of books - he does read most of them but he had huge numbers he wasn't really all that interested in waiting for my partner and I when we arrived to visit my parents over the easter weekend. I gratefully pulled out some selections for myself and these are what I ended up coming home with:

Thank you easter bunny! Has anyone read any of these?

I'm hoping to read Good to a Fault soon - it is supposed to be really good. Let's hope we enjoy it!

I haven't read any of these, but they make for a beautiful, colourful pile! Enjoy!

How fun that you get to enjoy the extras!

I've read the C.S. Harris books and those are entertaining mysteries. Hope you enjoy your books.

That was a very good Easter Bunny!

They all look good! I've read a few Phryne Fisher mysteries by Kerry Greenwood and really liked them-but I think this is her cooking series? And I have a few C.S. Harris mysteries to read as well. Have fun with your new books!

Oooh lucky you, I've not read The Beach House yet but I have really enjoyed Jane Green's other books, enjoy!

Hi Jackie - I have heard really good things about it too. I had seen it around a lot but didn't like the cover so I didn't even pick it up to check it out further! Evidence of how a cover impacts on my reading decisions!

Hi Claire - They do look quite lovely together don't they!

Hi Iliana - I like the sound of the C.S Harris books which is why I added them to my pile. I'm not usually much of a mystery reader but I like the sound of the premise of these ones and the era in which they are set.

Hi loveprideprejudice - I know! I was very happy!

Hi Danielle - I love the Phryne books from Greenwood too. I have read the first couple of books from this series too and quite enjoyed them.

Hi Dot - I think I have read one of her early books but for the life of me I can't remember what it was now!

What a great pile of books - the Easter bunny was indeed kind this year :) I haven't read The Beach House, but it is in my TBR pile. I liked Green's other books, so this one should be good, too. Hope you enjoy all your new books! Cheers!

Hi Nadia - I think I will save The Beach house for when I go on my own beach holiday to Thailand in June!

Hi T - we might have to organise a catch up so that you can borrow??

I haven't heard of any of them but went off to examine Good to a Fault on Amaazon and ended up putting quite a few books from 'customers also bought' onto my TBR list, so thanks for the prompt. How nice to have someone who can pass you free books.
