High Tea With Friends

I know that many of you in the blogging world are in the midst of enjoying beautiful summers - but here in Australia we are in the middle of winter - and I'm over it! Winter is not one of my most enjoyable seasons at all so a couple of weekends ago I had some friends over to celebrate High Tea - pretty teacups, yummy food and good friends - one way to beat the winter blues!

Beautiful cups. What did you have to eat? I think I spy some pink macarons.

Oh how I love high tea! delightful...there's a famous high tea at the Hyatt down here in Canberra which I really must get off my butt and attend one of these days, and then play a spot of croquet out on the lawns (yes, they really do have croquet fields!)

This looks like fun, and a great way to distract yourself -- and I concur, beautiful teacups!

Lovely teacups always lift my spirits. I have a cabinet full that I use whenever I have anyone over.

Hi Aimee - That sounds like something you should definitely get around to doing. I love trying out High Tea at different places.

Hi Coffee - It is a lovely distraction!

Hi JoAnn - I hope so too!!!

Hi Nadia - I love my tea cups too, very special.

Hi ds - It did sweep the winter blues away for the day - maybe I should just have High Tea every day...
