We have come to the end of our Paris In July journey for this year and Tamara and myself would like to send out a huge thank you to all of you who have joined in or read, cooked, watched and listened along with us. Tamara and I caught up for lunch together today and we spoke about how much we have both enjoyed hosting the month - and we had some discussions about running it again next year. We would love to hear from everyone about what they think of this idea and also any suggestions you might have for what you what like to see done differently etc... to improve the event.
In the meantime, some of the wonderful posts we have had during this final week include;
Amy finished reliving her trip to Paris.
Anni shared some French art.
Audrey wrapped up her Paris In July journey.
Bellezza shared her Christmas wish!
Chasing bawa reviewed a book that many have enjoyed and I am yet to read.
Chat Noir shared a gorgeous photo with her thoughts.
Claire continued to keep my interest in Zola.
Electra did an amazing wrap up post.
Joan shared another great quote before she heads to actual Paris!
JoAnn shared her thoughts on Colette.
Mel reviewed some French literature.
Sara reviewed a French classic.
Tamara took us on a journey for our taste buds.
The winner for this weeks prize, randomly drawn, is Sara from Wordy Evidence of The Fact and we also have a special end of Paris In July prize which has been drawn from every person who contributed to the journey over the course of the month and this prize goes to Frances from Nonsuch Book. Could Sara and Frances please leave a comment on this post with your email address so that I can get in touch with you about your prizes.
Thank you so much everyone - it has been a wonderful month in Paris!

Ah, so many posts, so much to do and see in Paris - Its been a fantastic journey!
Thanks ladies for a great month... the concept inspired me to master our new scanner, re-live some very special times with my family, collect a new list of books for my wish list, discover a beautiful children's book (did you see my post on Zat Cat?), savour delicious food, notice the french influence in my world.... and that was only when I remembered.
Next time? Maybe some categories to keep those of us who've played before on our toes? I was thinking the obvious ones of books, food, fashion, memoirs, photographs... but I'm sure there are others. For the artistic perhaps variations on a theme (how many different ways to feature the Eiffel tower or a moustache or a beret). Just some thoughts......
And thankyou for being the catalyst to visit many new blogs too. New friends everywhere.
Thanks so much to both of you for hosting Paris in July. It's been great fun, and I've discovered some new blogs, too!!
What a wonderful trip through Paris -- I got a last and late post in this morning, but wanted to share with you all as it was a fun read! http://coffeeandabookchick.blogspot.com/
See you next year, what a fun trip! :)
Many thanks to you and Tamara for being such wonderful "tour guides." I had a blast: added to the never-ending booklist, found some great new (to me) blogs, shared memories, and learned about wine, food, art, perfume...The list is endless, as was the enjoyment. Yes, please, let's always have Paris in July!
Many thanks to you both for hosting a lovely event. I had planned on being more active than I was, but loved everyone's posts. And YAY! it seems I am a winner here at the end. Thrilled! francesevangelista (at) yahoo (dot com).
Thanks for a fun time, ladies. I was the week one winner, I believe, so if you want to choose another for this final week, I will begrudgingly give up the prize. If you'd rather keep things as they landed, my email is sarabcoffman(at)gmail(dot)com.
I had so much fun making lists of French books to read and trying to read them! I haven't finished my second book so I wouldn't have minded continueing into August too (although that's extra work for you guys)! I will definitely join next year as well. So thank you!
Thanks so much for hosting a delightful challenge! I do hope that there is a next time :) Cheers!!
what a creative challenge! glad you had so many 'tourists' enjoy the trip. :)

ps. would you be able to open your comments up to allow people to use name/url when leaving their comments? other folks who have blogger have that option and it makes it so much easier for those of us who self-host or don't have blogger or google. thanks! :)
I think it was wonderful, such an array of different perspectives. I wouldn't change a thing for next year. Thank you both for putting this all together!!
Congrats to the winners.
Just wanted to stop in and say thank you & Tamara for hosting! I didn't finish my one book set in Paris as it was just not living up to my expectations but I did get to see a Matisse exhibit at one of our museums and it was really good.
每日都有新日光,每日都有新希望。.................................................
Hi T - It was a fun adventure!
Hi Chat Noir - It sounds like you have had a wonderful Parisian themed month! Thank you so much for putting so much thought into your suggestions for next year too.
Hi JoAnn - I think the discovery of new blogs has been one of my favourite parts of the month.
Hi Coffee - glad you enjoyed it! I'm sorry I missed out on your last post in my summary.
Hi ds - I also think that always having Paris in July is a wonderful mantra!
Hi Frances - I wasn't as active as I would have lied to have been either and I was one of the hosts! Congratulations on winning - will be in touch soon.
Hi Sara - thank you for being so gracious in offering to give up your prize but the random gods have been on your side so you clearly deserve to win! I will be in touch soon.
Hi chasingbawa - I didn't get to finish a lot of the things I had planned for the month either so I'm sure there will be a lot of us continuing on into the coming months in some way.
Hi Nadia - I'm sure there will be!
Hi Natalie - thanks for your comment. I will definitely try to change my comments section so that it is easier for you (and others) to comment.
Hi Electra - so glad that you enjoyed the journey!
Hi Illiana - I think a Matisse exhibition is the perfect way to celebrate Paris In July - so jealous!!
Hi, Karen! No worries, I'm looking forward to next year!
Thank you so much for organising it. I read books which will stay with me and found new blogs to read. I look forward to next year.
Hi Coffee and Joan - Tamara and I are really looking forward to next year too - Tamara will actually be in France in July!
